Why Mold in Florida Doesn’t Wait (And Neither Should You)

In the Sunshine State, humidity isn't just a weather report; it’s the perfect fuel for a silent enemy. Following a tropical storm, a flash flood, or even a minor A/C malfunction, mold can begin colonizing your property in less than 48 hours.

The true danger isn’t the spot you see in the corner of a shower, it’s what you don’t see. Mold hides behind drywall, under laminate flooring, and deep within ventilation ducts, constantly releasing spores that compromise your family’s air quality.

Have you noticed any of these symptoms recently?

  • Persistent sneezing or nasal congestion upon waking up.

  • Itchy eyes or throat irritation without an apparent cause.

  • A lingering "musty" or "earthy" odor that won't go away.

  • New stains or wall discoloration after seasonal rains.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is a mold assesor?

The job of a mold inspector is to thoroughly inspect a property, both inside and out, and conduct reliable tests to determine if mold is present and potentially causing harm. At Titanium Envirotech Group LLC, we employ techniques such as air and surface sampling to detect mold spores and their types. This is very crucial for property owners in making timely decisions for remediation.

While often used interchangeably with "assessor," a mold inspector focuses specifically on the physical investigation of the property. They perform visual checks and collect air or surface samples to confirm the types and concentrations of mold spores present. In Florida, this role is covered under the Mold Assessor license.

Our comprehensive process follows industry standards (IICRC S520) and includes:

  • Containment: Using physical barriers and negative air pressure to prevent spores from spreading.
  • Air Filtration: Utilizing HEPA air scrubbers to clean the air.
  • Removal: Carefully disposing of mold-damaged porous materials (like drywall).
  • Cleaning & Sanitizing: Applying antimicrobial treatments to non-porous surfaces and HEPA vacuuming.
  • Verification: Ensuring the area is dry and ready for post-remediation testing.

Our team is fully licensed by the State of Florida as Mold Related Services Assessors (MRSA) and Remediators (MRSR). We also hold industry-standard certifications from the IICRC, such as Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT).

Yes. Since mold is a byproduct of moisture, we offer full-service leak detection and water damage restoration. We use thermal imaging and moisture meters to find hidden leaks and high-grade dehumidifiers to dry the structure, preventing mold before it starts.

No. According to Florida Statute 468.8419, it is a conflict of interest and illegal for a company (or a related company) to perform both the assessment and the remediation on the same project. This law protects consumers by ensuring that the company testing for mold provides an unbiased final clearance.

Our team is standing by 24/7 to help.
